CARE THAT FITS YOUR LIFE

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) in Orange County

The hardest part of IOP usually isn’t the therapy. It’s the transition. Leaving a group session where you just talked about something real, then getting in the car to pick up your kids or dial into a 3pm call like nothing happened. IOP is built around that exact seam: enough clinical structure to make real progress, without asking you to disappear from your own life to get it.

IS IOP RIGHT FOR YOU?

Find out when more support than weekly therapy may be helpful.

The Program

What a Typical Week in IOP Looks Like

A few hours at a time, a few days a week, often in the evening so “I have a job” isn’t a reason to wait. Group therapy, individual check-ins, and skills work you’re expected to actually use that same week: at your desk, in an argument with your partner, in the moment right before you’d normally spiral. This isn’t therapy that pauses your life. It’s therapy that has to survive contact with it.

FIND YOUR FIT

Who Is IOP Right For?

Someone stepping down from PHP who still needs more than a weekly check-in. A small business owner whose panic attacks have started showing up in client meetings. A parent whose anxiety has quietly taken over decisions that used to be easy. Someone a few months post-hospitalization who isn’t ready to go it entirely alone. None of them can disappear for a full day of treatment. IOP doesn’t ask them to.

FLEXIBLE SCHEDULING

Evening IOP for Working Professionals

We offer evening IOP scheduling specifically because “come back during the day” isn’t a real answer for most people who need this. Your treatment should fit around your job, not compete with it.

BEYOND THE THERAPY ROOM

Integrative Care in Our IOP

For a lot of people in IOP, the structure of treatment is only half the picture. The other half is what happens around it. A coastal hike worked into your week. An art or equine session that gives the work room to breathe. Recovery that has to compete with a fluorescent-lit waiting room all day is a different experience than recovery that gets even a little ocean air in it.

Partial Hospitalization (PHP)

COMMON QUESTIONS ABOUT IOP

FAQ

Clear answers to some of the questions we hear most often. Don't see what you're looking for? Give us a call — our team is happy to help.

Will my job find out I’m attending IOP?

No. Your treatment is confidential, and we don’t share information about it with employers or anyone else without your consent.

Does IOP offer evening sessions?

Yes. We offer evening IOP scheduling for people who can’t attend during typical daytime hours because of work, school, or family responsibilities.

Is IOP less effective than PHP?

No. IOP is a different level of structure for a different level of need, not a “lesser” version of PHP. Many people never need PHP-level care at all and do well starting directly in IOP.

How do I know if IOP is right for me instead of PHP or outpatient therapy?

A clinical assessment looks at your current symptoms, daily functioning, and support system to match you to the right starting level of care.
